"Oracle has strong traction in sales of its analytic applications, which are sold separately from but are dependent upon OBI EE. Oracle's analytic applications (branded Oracle Business Intelligence Applications) include support for PeopleSoft, E-Business, J.D. Edwards, Siebel and SAP. Some of this market adoption can be attributed to bundling of applications with new ERP sales. As well, customers find a faster time to value in pre-built BI capabilities. Oracle recently commissioned a Forrester study citing the ROI of these pre-built applications as 97% with a 20-month payback period. Some customers, meanwhile, cite the high-cost and difficulty in the apps to handle customizations as barriers, using applications from Noetix as an alternative."

"We chose Noetix in large part because of the Noetix Generator, a feature that converts those NoetixViews into an RPD (metadata repository) compatible with Oracle Business Intelligence. From all appearances, this was a 'turn-key' solution that within mere hours (literally) would give my team a solid base from which to start delivering analyses and dashboards to our hungry-for-data business end users, heretofore accustomed to hours of manual manipulations."

"After viewing Paul Winterstein's presentation regarding Noetix Workbench, I have concluded that this is a 'must have' for Noetix environments. In many ways, this completes their product. ...It greatly simplifies the view modification and view development process, while placing controls on how the modification is performed."

Noetix Annotations - Musing about Noetix Workbench
"The most common approach to developing analytic applications is to start with packaged applications and then customize those applications to some degree. Sixty five percent of the respondents indicated they customized packaged applications either a modest amount or to a significant degree. Only 20 percent created completely customized analytic applications and only 11 percent used packaged applications out of the box. Slightly less than half the respondents, 47 percent, also had a 'self service' aspect to their application development infrastructure, in which end users could develop their own, specific applications."

"Noetix's acquisition of Jaros Technologies Corp. expands its BI portfolio while demonstrating further commitment to delivering metadata-driven reporting solutions for the Oracle E-Business Suite. The availability of pre-configured KPIs designed to monitor performance based on data from Oracle E-Business Suite modules and other sources can accelerate the implementation of an analytics solution built with Noetix products. Noetix is now well-positioned to meet the needs of enterprise customers who wish to integrate historical data for storage and analysis from disparate systems while at the same time meeting user requirements for real-time reporting."
- Brian McDonough, Business Analytics Research Manager, IDC

"Clearly, for companies running analytical applications, data warehouses form the backbone of the information infrastructure for analysis. Although using off-the-shelf software, either customized or not, is the most popular approach to developing a data warehouse, a surprisingly large number of companies still use entirely customized development. While data warehouses generally store a lot of data, one terabyte or more, there are also a lot of small data warehouses with less than 100 gigabytes of data as well."
- Elliot King, Ph.D, Professor of Communications, Lattanze Center, Loyola University, Maryland
"As a Five-Star Partner of the OAUG for the past six years and a member of the organization since 1994, Noetix has had a long-standing commitment to helping Oracle customers maximize the return on their investments in Oracle Applications. We always look forward to seeing how the Noetix marketing team will pull out all the stops with their innovation and strategic thinking, and this year was no exception. At this year's show, the buzz around the Noetix booth was palpable, and through a creative marketing campaign the company extended its presence to every corner of the show floor."
- Denise Quashie, Director of Strategic Relations for the OAUG
"Noetix’s ability to automatically generate business intelligence content for Oracle Enterprise applications significantly increases the amount of Oracle content that comes ‘out-of-the-box’ with Cognos 8 BI, making it easier for business users to create their own reports. Noetix has helped to ensure the successful sales and deployment of IBM Cognos software in several joint Oracle E-Business Suite accounts. Their continued commitment to the partnership is demonstrated by the proven technology Noetix developed for Cognos customers looking to increase return from their Oracle enterprise investments."
